Moray Voices
Newly established group 'Moray Voices', organised by Kate, Cathy Henderson and
others, received a grant of £3100 from the National Lottery towards a concert series and workshops.
They plan, over the winter, to stage several small concerts titled "An Evening with......", featuring and supporting local artists. One of these will be Gaelic singer Ishbel Macaskill, who used to live in Forres. She will offer a concert and workshop in Gaelic song. She is a supportive and inspiring teacher.
They also plan a series of singing workshops for teenagers, leading up to a concert. These give young people a chance to develop their vocal and performance skills and work with professional musicians.
