Bill Henderson has been leading community music groups for 20 years, originally with orchestras and workshop bands, and for over 10 years with choirs as well. In childhood a classical pianist and later a self taught jazz pianist, folk accordionist and singer, he uses music in many different settings to create community, to foster harmony, to bring people together and above all to encourage people to use music as a tool of empowerment and self discovery.
Living in the mountains of North Wales for 20 years and since 1992 leading music workshops at the Findhorn Foundation, in 2004 he moved into the area where he quickly established the Forres Big Choir with Kate O'Connell who he has known since the 1980s.
He is a member of The Natural Voice Practitioners' Network (www.naturalvoice.net), a UK wide grouping of community choir leaders committed to helping us all find our voice and sing. He leads music and voice workshops in the UK and abroad, most recently in Brazil.
